Hello friends!
I hope that the holiday season is a time of joy and blessing for you and your family. Please keep those in prayer that are facing challenging times. Let’s help others when we are able and be a blessing when we can.
Our church continues to meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30am and 10:30am.
We usually fall below the recommended “10 people for gatherings” in attendance, and this is understandable due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I have stressed to our people that they should take every precaution that they feel is necessary to protect themselves if choosing to attend meetings.
At the same time, the assembly of believers is one of the most important functions of the church family- to pray, praise, give, meet needs as they arise, and learn the Scripture- all done together. There is no substitute for this assembly that can be what it is meant to be.
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way churches interact with their members and the outside world- making content available online for viewing at the convenience of the user of any number of electronic devices and social media formats. Many churches were already doing online ministry and were prepared for the transition. My ministry was not ready unfortunately.
Although I have always recorded my teachings in an audio format, we were not able to make these teachings available for listening on a regular basis due to unfamiliarity with the technology at the time.
When COVID-19 hit, our church did not meet for some time, and I struggled to get content out to our people due to internet issues and unfamiliarity with technology and social media formats.
Since that time, I have become more familiar with social media formats, and thanks to the help of my wife Lori (together we are the audio-video team in our church!) we have begun recording and posting our teachings on Facebook.
Maranatha Baptist Church is now posting our teachings on Facebook!

This phase of my ministry is only beginning, so please be patient with video and audio quality. We are working to improve our internet and audio/video recording capability.
Please let us know if you encounter any problems with the videos.
I hope that these videos are a blessing to you- whether you are a member of our church, or you are interested in what is going on here at Maranatha Baptist Church.
To God be the glory!
